NEW YORK (AP) - Police say two pedestrians have been hit by a car and killed in Brooklyn.

It happened early Monday morning in the Cypress Hills neighborhood.

Police say when officers arrived on the scene they found 41-year-old Delman Maldonado and 56-year-old Israel Turcios unconscious and unresponsive. Maldonado was pronounced dead at the scene. Turcios was taken to a hospital, where he later died. Both men are from Brooklyn.

Police say the driver of the car hit the two men and two parked cars before fleeing on foot. No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
