MONTICELLO, Iowa (AP) - Police have arrested a man suspected of robbing a Monticello bank.

Authorities say Brandon Brown was taken into custody at his Monticello home early Sunday morning. Online records say the 44-year-old remained in Jones County Jail on Monday. Online court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could be contacted to comment for Brown.

The robbery occurred around 11 a.m. Friday at the F&M; Bank on East 1st Street. Witnesses say a robber pointed a gun at a bank employee and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries have been reported.
