CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A man arrested in Florida is facing charges in New Hampshire this week in connection with a break-in at the Statehouse.

State police said 25-year-old Michael Polito was arrested in St. Cloud, Florida, last week. WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2afJKEs) he faces burglary and criminal mischief charges. He’s waived extradition and is expected to be returned to New Hampshire on Wednesday. It wasn’t immediately known if he has a lawyer.

New Hampshire State Police said the burglary happened early July 16. They released an image of a man wearing a T-shirt and shorts, and tips led to Polito’s arrest.

Police said no items were taken but some damage was done to a couple of portraits during the burglary, none of it irreversible.
