HUNTLEY, Ill. (AP) - Leaders of many faiths are set to participate in a ceremony to launch a chapel at a new hospital in northern Illinois.
The new Centegra Hospital in Huntley plans to hold a chapel blessing ceremony Monday. Hospital officials say leaders listed on the program represent Methodist, Catholic, Muslim, Community Church, Blue Lotus Temple and Lutheran faiths. Centegra chaplains also will participate.
The $230 million, 360,000 square-foot hospital is due to open Aug. 9. It is being built on the company’s existing 110-acre campus.
The five-story hospital is expected to employ more than 1,000 people.
