WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after they say a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed behind a church in Winston-Salem.

Multiple new agencies report Winston-Salem police say Jose Angel Chegue Mendoza was found with multiple gunshot wounds Friday night in an open area behind the Progressive Apostolic Church.

He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Police say they are looking for two males between the ages of 12 and 16 who they believe are connected to the shooting.

Investigators say that the shooting was not random, and they believe that the victim and shooters knew each other.
