MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. (AP) - Law enforcers are trying to find out who shot a swan with darts at a New York nature preserve.

Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/2aHbYfm ) says the female swan is expected to make a full recovery. The darts have been removed from its wings.

Investigators say it apparently was wounded sometime between 6 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the Massapequa (mas-uh-PEEK’-wuh) Nature Preserve on Long Island.
