GARRISON, N.D. (AP) - The annual CANDISC bicycle tour is being held this week in western North Dakota.

CANDISC stands for “Cycling Around North Dakota In Sakakawea Country.” The Minot Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/2b5JFZv ) that this year’s seven-day ride began Sunday at Fort Stevenson State Park near Garrison.

Riders will travel nearly 369 miles, going to Medora and then returning to Garrison on Saturday.

CANDISC is a ride, not a race. It started in 1992.
