BRIDGEWATER, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut State Police have obtained an arrest warrant for a New York man in connection with a home invasion and shooting that injured a homeowner.

Troopers say 20-year-old Dustin Holst-Grubbe of Millerton, New York, turned himself in to New York State Police on burglary charges. Connecticut authorities were told about the surrender Sunday.

The Connecticut arrest warrant disclosed Wednesday charges Holst-Grubbe with home invasion, assault and other crimes in the early morning break-in and shooting in Bridgewater on Aug. 4.

Officials say 64-year-old Victor Compe was shot in the shoulder with his own shotgun. His wife wasn’t injured. Compe survived and remains hospitalized.

Holst-Grubbe is detained in New York and expected to be transferred to Connecticut. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer who could respond to the allegations.
