ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) - Police in St. Albans are looking for an Essex Junction man who they say assaulted another man in the city and tried to run him over with his car before crashing into a home and escaping.

The Burlington Free Press reports (https://bfpne.ws/2az7lEU ) police are seeking the whereabouts of Stuart Davis, who they expect to arrest in connection with Monday night’s incident.

Police say a fight was sparked after Davis attempted to inappropriately touch a female acquaintance, who then called her boyfriend for help. The 22-year-old then allegedly attempted to run over the man twice before crashing into a home’s front porch and fleeing.

Davis is expected to be charged with aggravated assault, gross negligent driving and other offenses. Police do not consider him to be a danger to the public.
