SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police say a 39-year-old man is dead and his suspected assailant is in custody after an argument turned deadly at a Salt Lake City apartment complex.

Salt Lake City police Detective Richard Chipping says it’s not clear yet what the argument was about or how the man died.

Police and paramedics were called a little before 7 p.m. Tuesday.

It didn’t appear that a weapon was used, and the two men were the only ones in the apartment.

The 22-year-old Salt Lake County man who was arrested was described as an acquaintance.

Neither man’s name was immediately made public.
