LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - MidSouth Bank President Troy Cloutier will assume the additional responsibilities of chief executive officer effective Nov. 1.

The Advocate (https://bit.ly/2aJSKUo ) reports Cloutier has served as president for the past year. As president and CEO, he assumes more responsibility for managing the daily operations of the Lafayette-based bank’s two-state franchise. The bank has operations in Louisiana and Texas.

Cloutier is the son of MidSouth Bank founding President and CEO Rusty Cloutier, who will remain president and CEO of MidSouth Bancorp Inc., the bank’s holding company.

The announcement was made as part of the bank’s succession plan.

Troy Cloutier previously held the position of chief banking officer and senior executive vice president since January 2011 and before that was regional president for more than eight years.
