JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Officials say a body found over the weekend at a New Jersey marina has been identified as that of a missing boater.

The Jersey Journal reported (https://bit.ly/2aJnBhZ ) Tuesday that divers recovered the body of 64-year-old Roger Brown on Sunday at the Liberty Harbor Marina in Jersey City.

Police say an unattended sailboat was spotted floating in the water around 10:30 p.m. Friday. The sailboat’s motor was running when officers arrived.

A police report says the boat’s owner told authorities that Brown left a New York City dock at about 8:30 p.m. and was expected to dock in Jersey City. The East Orange man’s body was found around 4 p.m. Sunday.

His death has been ruled accidental. Authorities say the man drowned and had a head injury consistent with a fall.
