LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Fire Department helicopter crew has hoisted an injured worker off a 270-foot-tall crane in downtown Los Angeles.

Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart says two paramedics climbed up to the 33-year-old man Thursday afternoon.

The worker was unable to climb down but was not seriously hurt.

He was safely hoisted aboard the helicopter and taken to Los Angeles County-USC Hospital in fair condition.

No further details on what led to the man getting stuck were released.
