VINTON, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a man and wife from Mount Auburn have been fatally injured in an eastern Iowa collision.

The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday east of Vinton. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office says the pair were driving west in their sport utility vehicle when it crossed the center line and struck an oncoming pickup.

Authorities say the 73-year-old SUV driver, Terry Bradshaw, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, 73-year-old Evelyn Bradshaw, died on her way to a hospital.

There was no word on the pickup driver’s condition.

The crash is being investigated.
