PITTSBURGH (AP) - Authorities allege a McCandless woman was involved in the severe beating of her boyfriend last month and now she’s jailed on $250,000 bail.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said (https://bit.ly/2aOJijO ) 42-year-old Karrie Diaz turned herself in Thursday to face charges including attempted homicide and aggravated assault.

The victim, who lived with Diaz for two years, tells police he was leaving a bar last month when he was knocked unconscious.

He awoke to find himself tied to a chair and endured six days of beatings, including with a purple-handled hammer.

Police say he remembers Diaz saying they were going to have to kill him.

He was eventually dropped off at a hospital and suffered injuries including a broken pelvis, broken ribs and a broken nose.

Court records didn’t list a lawyer for Diaz.

Police are looking for accomplices.
