SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Funeral services will be held this weekend for a central New York college student and her 41-year-old mother after the women died just three days apart.

The Post-Standard reports (https://bit.ly/2aYkiHg ) the family of Abby Bohnert says the Le Moyne College student died suddenly Monday while having dinner with her aunt at a Syracuse-area restaurant.

Her mother, Janine Bohnert, died in her sleep Thursday at the family’s home in Earlville, 35 miles southeast of Syracuse. Janine’s husband, Chad, said he suspects her death was linked to recent emergency surgery.

On Wednesday, Janine Bohnert told the Syracuse newspaper her daughter complained to the aunt that she wasn’t feeling well. The aunt, a physician at a local hospital, was checking her niece when the 19-year-old’s heart stopped.

Funeral services for mother and daughter will be held together Saturday in their hometown.
