ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Officials say six Spirit Airlines crew members were hospitalized after a plane made an emergency landing in Orlando.

The Orlando Sentinel (https://goo.gl/3SI1XF ) reports that seven people requested medical attention after the landing at Orlando International Airport Friday afternoon, and six of those people - all crew members - were taken to a nearby hospital, complaining of nausea and trouble breathing.

Airport spokeswoman Carolyn Fennell says the Spirit Airlines flight took off for Latrobe, Pennsylvania, around 4 p.m. with 179 passengers but returned to Orlando about an hour later because of smoke in the cockpit.

Officials weren’t immediately sure what caused the smoke. No flames were seen.
