DECATUR, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say three people were killed in separate vehicle crashes on state roads.

Troopers say 62-year-old Doreen Martin of Decatur, 91-year-old Arthur Tapley of Greenbriar and 52-year-old Merion Morris of Mena died in the collisions on Thursday.

Police say Martin was killed when the vehicle she was driving northbound on Highway 59 in Decatur was struck head-on by a southbound pickup truck that had swerved to avoid a vehicle that was stopped in the roadway.

Troopers say Tapley died when the car he was driving pulled from a side road onto Highway 64 east of Conway and into the path of an oncoming sport utility vehicle.

And Morris was killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a vehicle on Highway 71 in Mena.
