TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Carney man was killed when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle on Interstate 44 in Tulsa.

The OHP says 48-year-old Tony Dee Carter was dead at the scene in east Tulsa shortly before 4:30 a.m. Friday.

An OHP report says Carter was in an eastbound lane of traffic and walking westbound when he was struck by the SUV.

The report says the weather was clear and the interstate was dry at the time.
