CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - A Champaign-based company that employs 39 people is leaving for Indiana.

Treasa Turnbeaugh is CEO of The Board of Certified Safety Professionals. She tells The News-Gazette in Champaign (https://bit.ly/2aQPhHF ) that the company plans to relocate to Indianapolis in November.

She expects 21 of the company’s 39 employees to make the move. The company credentials safety, health and environmental workers.

Turnbeaugh said the company had been looking for a new location for about a year and considered nine cities.

The company was founded in the Chicago area in 1969 and moved to the Champaign area in 1982.
