MCGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE, N.J. (AP) - A used fire truck is heading from New Jersey to Nicaragua thanks to the New Jersey Air National Guard.

The truck is being flown aboard a C-5 Galaxy cargo plane, which will leave Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst on Friday for the Central American nation.

Master Sgt. Jorge Narvaez, who also is a Princeton police officer, and retired chief Ray Wadsworth procured the truck from the Princeton Fire Department. It’s been donated to a group of volunteer firefighters in Managua, Nicaragua.
