CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) - A Miss Corpus Christi Latina who was dethroned after her assault and DWI record surfaced has been arrested on probation violation charges.

Nueces County jail records show 25-year-old Caitlin Cifuentes (see-FWEN’-tays) was being held without bond Friday.

Corpus Christi police on Wednesday announced warrants to revoke her probation for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and intoxication assault for a 2013 traffic accident that left a woman hurt. Police say Cifuentes, who was required to stay out of places that serve alcohol, recently was a bartender.

Cifuentes in June was named Miss Corpus Christi Latina, then lost her crown when her criminal history became public. Several other contestants sued the pageant director. First runner-up Valeria Barrera was named the winner.

Online records didn’t list an attorney to speak for Cifuentes.
