ATTALLA, Ala. (AP) - A former activities director at an Attalla facility for at-risk youths has pleaded guilty to sex charges.

The Office of the District Attorney of Etowah County said in a news release that 63-year-old Roy Dean Pruett pleaded guilty on Tuesday to charges of sodomy and sexual abuse involving three minor victims at Eagle Rock Boys Ranch.

Pruett had been accused of taking boys from the ranch to his house, where he sexually abused them.

The investigation began after four boys told authorities that Pruett had sexually abused them while he was at the ranch.

According to the plea agreement, Pruett will be sentenced to 20 years in the sodomy cases and 10 years in the sex abuse cases. The sentences will run concurrently.
