PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A 22-year-old wanted in a triple shooting that left a bystander dead in north Philadelphia last month has been taken into custody.

Authorities say Dayquine Cooper surrendered to police Wednesday night and was charged with murder, criminal attempted murder and related offenses.

Investigators say Cooper was involved in a gunfight with another man on July 15 in the city’s Fairhill neighborhood. That man remains at large.

Sixty-four-year-old Jerry Floyd was shot and killed during the shootout. A 15-year-old girl and a 48-year-old woman were wounded in the shooting. Police say it appears all of the victims were innocent bystanders who were caught in the crossfire.

It’s not known if he has an attorney.
