SEATTLE (AP) - A Mountlake Terrace man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for producing and possessing child pornography.

U.S. Attorney Annette Hayes says 51-year-old David Stephens pleaded guilty in April and was sentenced in U.S. District Court on Friday.

Hayes says that federal authorities searched Stephens’ home in March 2015 and seized electronic devices with thousands of images of child rape and abuse. Hayes says some of the images were photos Stephens produced while he molested a young child.

Under the sentence, he’ll have to register as a sex offender and undergo treatment while he’s in custody.

The court will be asked to set restitution for the victims in the case during a hearing in October.
