PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Oppressive heat continues for a third consecutive day across parts of Pennsylvania.

An excessive heat warning is in effect until Sunday night for Delaware, Philadelphia, eastern Chester, eastern Montgomery and lower Bucks counties.

A heat advisory covers Franklin, southern Lycoming, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Cumberland, Adams, Dauphin, Lebanon, York and Lancaster counties.

Forecasters say the heat and humidity will combine to make it feel like it’s as hot as 105 degrees on Friday and even hotter throughout the weekend.

There could be some temporary relief in the form of scattered showers and storms.

Forecasters say the heat wave should break on Monday when a cold front moves through the region.
