MILWAUKEE (AP) - Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence invoked the Green Bay Packers while rallying in Wisconsin to make a point about media coverage.

During a stop in Milwaukee Thursday night, Pence said the media parses every word his running mate Donald Trump says, but ignores “what the Clintons have been doing the last 30 years.”

Pence compared that notion to the Packers playing every game on the road before a hostile crowd with hometown refs.

The Indiana governor spoke to several hundred supporters at a downtown hotel after making an appearance in La Crosse earlier in the day.

A Marquette University Law School poll released this week shows Trump trailing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by 10 points among registered voters and 15 points among likely voters in Wisconsin.
