BALLINGER, Texas (AP) - A West Texas rail line has reopened following cleanup after a dozen freight cars derailed and spilled loads of grain.

Texas Pacifico spokeswoman Elizabeth Grindstaff says trains resumed running on the line Friday.

Grindstaff had no immediate damage estimate on Wednesday afternoon’s derailment east of Ballinger. Nobody was hurt.

Officials say 15 cars were involved in the derailment and 12 ended up on their sides or off the track. The train was eastbound after loading at the Kasberg Grain Co. in Miles.
