MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A convicted sex offender who was arrested after getting a job as an Easter bunny at a Minot mall has pleaded not guilty to failing to register.

Twenty-four-year-old Minot resident Daniel Sanderson is barred from working with children as a condition of probation he received after pleading guilty last year to exposing himself to a girl at a hotel. Authorities allege he got the Easter bunny job last March.

KMOT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2bbNpo2 ) that Sanderson on Thursday waived his preliminary court hearing and pleaded not guilty to the felony charges that could send him to prison for up to 10 years.

A trial date was not immediately set. A pretrial conference is scheduled Oct. 19.
