PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a woman is accused of negligent homicide after she allegedly fatally shot her boyfriend in a west Phoenix motel room.

Phoenix police say 25-year-old Gabriella Hardee was arrested Thursday.

Her bond was set at $100,000 Friday at her initial court appearance and she doesn’t have an attorney yet.

According to court paperwork, Hardee and Rosario Leon were getting ready to check out of the room when they jumped onto the bed together.

Hardee admitted to picking up the gun that was on the bed next to Rosario.

She picked up the weapon, put her hand on the trigger and the weapon discharged.

Authorities say Leon was shot in the face and died.

Hardee told police she drank beer and smoked marijuana with Rosario the day before the shooting.
