CENTRAL CITY, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say two people from Virginia were killed and three other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash.

State police in Somerset County say a car heading west on Route 30 went out of control on the wet road and collided with an oncoming minivan shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday.

Police say 25-year-old Melanie Wetzel, of Sterling, Virginia, and 25-year-old Andrew Kuremsky, of Catlett, Virginia, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman and two teenagers in the minivan, all from Export, were taken to Conemaugh Hospital, but no information about their conditions was released.
