FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - A 37-year-old man has been sentenced to 121 years in federal prison for an armed carjacking spree and shooting that left a man dead.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/2beuI7x ) that a federal judge sentenced Gregory Moore on Friday.

He was convicted previously by a federal jury of three carjackings, two attempted carjackings and five gun charges related to the December 2014 crime spree.

Moore still faces first-degree murder and attempted murder charges in state court, which could bring him the death penalty.

The FBI said Moore commandeered two vehicles, driving to a Hallandale Beach insurance business where his ex-girlfriend, Danielle Roland, worked. Investigators say Moore shot Roland, who survived, and her male companion, Johnson St. Louis, who died.

Moore’s lawyer said he plans to appeal the convictions and sentence.
