ALABASTER, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say five people were arrested and nearly 44 pounds of psychedelic mushrooms were seized in a raid at a home in Alabaster.

Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force commander Lt. Clay Hammac tells Al.com (https://bit.ly/2aJyANa ) that law enforcement agents also confiscated more than 4 pounds of marijuana, multiple guns and more than $25,000 in cash during the bust on Thursday.

Hammac says the mushrooms contain psilocybin, a hallucinogenic substance. He said the home had an elaborate lab used to harvest the mushrooms and get them ready to be sold.

Five people were charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
