ATLANTA (AP) - A jury in Atlanta has found a North Carolina man guilty of murder, and a judge sentenced him to serve life plus five years in prison.

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said in a news release that the on Friday convicted 28-year-old Antonio Williams in the fatal shooting of Martrell Gay in March 2015.

Prosecutors say Williams drove from King Mountain, North Carolina, to the West End Food Mart in Atlanta to confront Gay about $900 that was stolen a few weeks earlier during an attempted marijuana sale.

Surveillance cameras captured Williams walking into the store and firing a single shot at Gay’s face from less than three feet away and then running from the store. Gay managed to walk out of the store and died on the sidewalk.
