NEWPORT, Vermont (AP) - The Newport police chief has issued a warning about a potentially deadly batch of heroin following two recent overdoses.

WCAX-TV reported (https://bit.ly/2beX9hB ) that police recently used the overdose reversal drug naloxone to save two young men on Railroad Square and Main Street.

Police are investigating both incidents. Newport Police Chief Seth DiSanto said the “severity” of the two overdoses has lead police to police this batch of drugs is “worse than usual.”
