GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say roughly 100 people were briefly evacuated from a Grand Forks International Airport terminal after officials discovered what appeared to be a suspicious item in a bag.

The Transportation Security Administration notified Grand Forks police of the item discovered Friday during a routine scan.

The object’s owner didn’t immediately resolve with police what it was, and about 100 passengers and employees were evacuated from the terminal for a short time.

Authorities eventually identified the object as a white-noise machine.
