SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Two men have been charged in connection with a shooting in Spartanburg that left one person dead and two others hurt.

News outlets report that arrest warrants show 27-year-old Darmaris S. Hill and 29-year-old Marcus T. Watkins, both of Spartanburg, are charged with high and aggravated breach of peace for their involvement in the Wednesday night shooting.

Spartanburg police responded to Norris Ridge Apartments where they found Jamel L. Thompson shot. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police say two other victims were also shot and taken to the hospital, where they remained Thursday evening. Their condition is unknown.

Police Capt. Regina Nowak says in a statement that officers determined several people were involved in an altercation that led to the shooting.
