BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) - Police are investigating an apparent hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian along Interstate 76 in Brighton.

Officers were unable to find a woman who was said to have been walking along the interstate early Friday morning. About an hour and a half later, they received another report that a woman was lying on the shoulder of the roadway.

Investigators believe the woman, whose name has not been released, crashed her SUV into a culvert and was hit as she was walking along the interstate.

No other information was released.
