PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Two people have been hospitalized after a helicopter owned by a flight training company crashed at the Prescott Municipal Airport.

Prescott Fire Department officials say the helicopter went down about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on the airfield.

They say witnesses reported seeing the helicopter fall some 50 feet to the ground and roll on its side.

Fire officials say two men in their 20s or 30s were taken to Flagstaff Medical Center with undisclosed injuries.

Their names and conditions aren’t immediately available.

The National Transportation Safety Board is on the scene and investigating the cause of the crash.
