VILLAGE OF EAST TROY, Wis. (AP) - Police say two experienced skydivers were hurt in an accident in southeastern Wisconsin.

Police were called to the East Troy Municipal Airport just before 5 p.m. Monday on reports of two parachutists down.

A 28-year-old parachutist from Waukesha was flown by helicopter to Froedtert (FRAY’-durt) Hospital in Milwaukee while a 32-year-old skydiver from Arizona was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Village of East Troy Police Chief Alan Boyes says the injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

Boyes says the parachutists were jumping under their own supervision with Skydive Milwaukee as part of the Sky Knights Sport Parachute Club in East Troy.
