CLIFFTOP, W.Va. (AP) - The Appalachian String Band Music Festival is expected to draw thousands of musicians and fans to southern West Virginia.

The five-day festival is scheduled to start Wednesday at Camp Washington-Carter in Clifftop.

The festival will feature concerts, workshops, square dancing and contests that will reward the top musicians and dancers up to $700.

A Saturday workshop will feature champion fiddler Tyler Andal.

Daily admission is $15 for adults, $10 for visitors age 60 and over and children ages 6 to 17. Admission is free for children ages 5 and under. Campsites also are available.
