BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A 19-year-old Bismarck man accused of shooting at a woman has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and criminal mischief.

Authorities allege Trevor Peterson fired at the woman in May after he tried to sell drugs to her and a man outside of an apartment building and they refused the offer.

Peterson’s attorney has said his client was severely intoxicated when the incident happened. A judge in June ordered Peterson to undergo addiction treatment.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2aFraZl ) defense attorney William Kirschner said Monday that he’s awaiting reports from the treatment facility. Judge Cynthia Feland scheduled a hearing next week to determine if Peterson’s $100,000 bond will be reduced.

A jury trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 28.
