COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Court documents show a man charged with murder in a shooting following a highway vehicle accident near College Station said he spent the day planning to slay the man.

The Brazos County sheriff’s office says 46-year-old Kevin Pullen of Bryan was charged with murder, aggravated assault involving family violence and tampering with physical evidence in Monday’s shooting.

The Bryan College-Station Eagle (https://bit.ly/2ajkehS ) reports Pullen told authorities he was following Tiffany Sterling’s car when he crashed into her.

After that, Sterling and a man in her car, Shay Lackey, were shot. Lackey died, Sterling should recover.

Officials believe Pullen had been in a prior relationship with Sterling. Pullen told officials he didn’t mean to shoot her.

Pullen was in jail Tuesday on $700,000 bond. Jail records don’t list an attorney.
