ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Hillary Clinton is scheduled to attend a pricey fundraiser for her presidential campaign near Aspen Tuesday evening.

The Aspen Daily News (https://bit.ly/2aMCTYw ) reports that Karim Souki, a principal in the real estate investment company Ajax Holdings, is hosting the outdoor dinner at his ranch in Woody Creek. Tickets cost between $10,000 to $50,000.

Pitkin County Democratic Party chairman Howard Wallach says such high-priced events “are a necessary part of politics” following the 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling allowing virtually unlimited contributions by corporations and unions.

Clinton isn’t scheduled to make any public appearances.

Meanwhile, “Hunger Games” actress Elizabeth Banks, who spoke at the Democratic National Convention, is set to attend a pep rally for Clinton volunteers and a voter registration drive in Aspen on Tuesday.

This story has been corrected to say that only Hillary Clinton is expected to attend the fundraiser, not Bill Clinton.
