SALEM, Ore. (AP) - The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says two suspects have been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man in northeast Salem.

The agency says detectives believe the pair tried to steal marijuana from a 20-year-old man late Monday and the man’s father ended up in the middle of the confrontation and got shot.

A SWAT team arrested the suspects after serving a search warrant at a Woodburn motel.

The sheriff’s office has yet to release the names of the suspects. The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Brett White.
