CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A 24-year-old man has been sentenced to over eight years in federal prison after pleading guilty in New Hampshire to distributing fentanyl.

Court documents say Euris Daniel Paulino Guerrero, a citizen of the Dominican Republican most recently residing in Lawrence, Massachusetts, sold the drug and others to cooperating witnesses last year. They also say he sold about 150 grams of fentanyl to a law enforcement officer acting in an undercover capacity.

According to statistics maintained by the state, over half of the drug overdose deaths in New Hampshire in 2015 were related to fentanyl.
