CENTRE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say they have apprehended the man wanted in a double homicide and kidnapping case in Cherokee County.

Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver told news outlets Tuesday that 30-year-old Jeffrey A. Wilcox has been arrested and his estranged wife Chasidy Wilcox has been found safe. Jeffrey Wilcox had been wanted on capital murder and kidnapping charges.

Officials say he had been on the run since Sunday following the slayings of 48-year-old Daniel Andrews and 48-year-old Letitia B. Andrews. Deputies also believe Wilcox kidnapped Chasidy Wilcox on Sunday.

It was not immediately clear where Jeffrey Wilcox and his wife were found.
