CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after they say a person was found dead inside a vehicle on Interstate 77 ramp in southwest Charlotte.

Local news outlets report Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the person was discovered Monday afternoon inside a vehicle alongside the roadway on the ramp from I-77 to Arrowood Road.

Officials have not released many details, but Medic says the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the car had been in the location it was for less than two days.

The person’s name and age have not been released.

Investigators have not said how the person is believed to have died.
