REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - A Milford Man has been arrested for his sixth DUI charge.

Media outlets report that Sunday morning, Rehoboth Beach police responded to a call of an apparently intoxicated man who appeared to be getting into a van. Officers located the van, which was parked with the engine running. Police say 45-year-old Stephen C. Haggerty was in the driver’s seat.

Officers say Haggerty smelled like alcohol. Police gave Haggerty a field sobriety test, during which he showed signs of intoxication.

Haggerty was arrested on one count of felony sixth offense driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

It’s unclear if Haggerty has an attorney.
