KENMARE, N.D. (AP) - A 37-year-old woman faces a felony charge after the Rural Mental Health Consortium of Kenmare reported a theft of more than $170,000.

The Ward County Sheriff’s Office said Heather Nelson of Kenmare was arrested Monday. She faces a theft charge.

The consortium reported the alleged theft in March. Authorities say the board of directors had noticed financial inconsistencies and an audit indicated more than $170,000 had been taken.

Court records don’t list an attorney for Nelson. Authorities say she’s being held without bond.
